The USS Albacore Memorial Park near downtown Portsmouth pays homage to those who’ve played important roles in not only our area history but the nation’s history. This park has a beautiful Memorial Garden dedicated to those who’ve given their lives while serving this area and our country. While you’re here in this park, you’re able to take a tour of the USS Albacore, dry-docked here in Portsmouth.

Great place that is not well-known enough in the area! My 3 year-old son loved the tour and takes his baths with his toy submarine that he got there.
