Portsmouth NH River Scene

Whether you make your home in Portsmouth NH or you’re a visitor, most everyone delights in our waterfront location on the Piscataqua River. Our downtown area is right on the river. After all, Portsmouth is and has been forever a working port, and when towns were established back in the days, they typically grew up around the commerce areas.
This is the bow of The Heritage, which Portsmouth Harbor Cruises uses for harbor tours. Do yourself a favor, take one of their tours. No matter how long you’ve called Portsmouth NH home, you’ll enjoy the tour and I bet you’ll even learn something new about the harbor and the area you didn’t know before!
I’ve taken several of these tours, and have enjoyed them immensely each time and I’ve also learned some new little nuggets each time, too.
