Portsmouth NH Homes Tree Canopy

Just a few short days ago, this was what I saw from my home in Portsmouth NH – these are a couple of the many trees in my yard. I loved the brilliant yellow of the leaves, and when the sun was shining on them, it created amazing light reflections throughout my house. It was just like flaming yellow and gold!
Mother Nature at her finest during our fall foliage season around Portsmouth NH homes!

Through A Brick Archway | Portsmouth NH Views

If you make your home in Portsmouth NH, then you know that no matter where you look, you can find wonderful glimpses of all kinds of things. As I pulled up to the drive-through at one of the banks in downtown Portsmouth, I noticed what a great view of one of the magnificent historic churches I got through this beautiful brick archway.

Rye Harbor | Rye NH Homes

Rye NH has a great little harbor where you can watch the lobster and fishing boats come and go throughout the day, and you can also, depending on the season, take an excursion boat out for some whale watching. There are some beautiful homes in Rye NH right along the shores of Rye Harbor – lucky Rye oceanfront homeowners with these great views!
This picture was taken at low tide, with the sun dancing on the water……

Portsmouth NH Homes | Foliage Skylines

I caught this picture of the top of some beautiful historic homes of Portsmouth NH on a gorgeous fall day, with the sun shining and a great clear blue sky! The view here shows the rooftops of, the fall colors in the trees and the top of one of our bridges that connect Portsmouth NH and Kittery Maine.
The homes in this picture are of some wonderful Portsmouth NH antique homes in our outdoor museum, Strawbery Banke, and I’m looking north toward Maine. It was a gorgeous day for sure!

Clock Changing Time | “Fall Back”

The brilliant foliage around our Portsmouth NH homes has given us such a gorgeous fall that I didn’t want you (or me!) to forget about setting the clocks back an hour this weekend…..
If you’re like me, and a little bit sleep deprived, you’ll get a treat on Sunday morning with an extra hour of sleep. And of course, the flip side of that is that it’ll be dark way too early each day. ;-(

I was driving along the ocean the other day and came upon this fellow hanging out in one of the Rye Harbor boatyards – looks like he’s lounging in the sun, waiting for some tricks or treats….not sure which!

The Grand Rockingham House | Portsmouth NH Condos

This gorgeous downtown Portsmouth NH building is The Rockingham. This was formerly The Rockingham Hotel, and what a grand hotel it was. I remember when these were first converted into condominiums and they were open to the public to come tour.
The Rockingham is now home to beautiful Portsmouth NH condos. The lobby is just gorgeous, full of fabulous original woodwork, and you can just imagine the wealthy travelers back then having tea and mixing with their friends. The condos in the main part of the building are mostly one-bedroom units, and in the newer section those condos are 2 and bedroom units.
Just one of many gorgeous historic buildings you can find all around town – many with beautiful Portsmouth condos in them!

Yummies Candy Store | Kittery Maine

If you love candy and make your home in Kittery Maine or surrounding area, then you must have already discovered Yummies Candy Store. And if you’ve never been there, you simply must stop in. The rows upon rows and stacks upon stacks of candy they have is a complete feast for the eyes – talk about ‘eye candy’!!
