Portsmouth NH and other coastal towns here in the NH Seacoast are surrounded by lots of water of various types!
This picture is taken at the mouth of the harbor – where the Piscataqua River and the Altantic Ocean meet. The lighthouse in the picture is Portsmouth Lighthouse, out on a point in Newcastle NH.
What a beautiful place Portsmouth NH is, and how lucky I am to be able to call Portsmouth home!

Newmarket NH Homes | Seacoast Halloween Treats

Fall in the NH Seacoast, and especially the upcoming Halloween holiday, brings out all kinds of color both in fall foliage and in Halloween decorations. These decorations are in front of a local restaurant in Newmarket, and they really caught my eye with all their colors.
For the last few years, Portsmouth NH shows off for Halloween with its own displays of “Scarecrows of Portsmouth”. If you’re in town, be sure to drive around the downtown area and see how many you can spot!

Portsmouth NH Homes | Downtown Portsmouth Scenery

Calling Portsmouth NH home is a real joy! This area is just beautiful and so full of history. Buildings downtown are mostly brick, like this beauty right in the heart of Market Square area of downtown Portsmouth.
This building is the Portsmouth Athaneaum and has beautiful period detail, both inside and outside. The Athaneaum is home to a library and museum. Our downtown area is so inviting, you just want to sit a spell on one of the many benches you’ll find all over the downtown area.
Welcome to Portsmouth New Hampshire!

Living in New Hampshire brings the most glorious fall foliage you could want to see! Sights like this are real treats to the eye – eye candy NH style!
The mountain in the background of this picture is Mt. Chocorua and this view is from a home for sale about 40 minutes northwest of Portsmouth NH homes. Mt. Chocorua is part of the White Mountains in NH.

Rye NH Homes | Seacoast Sights

Rye New Hampshire living provides those lucky enough to live here along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean lots of scenery that evokes ocean living like the picture above does. The wooden traps in the picture are lobster traps, and the colorful things on top of the left stack are lobster buoys, used to mark each lobsterman’s string of traps.

Portsmouth NH is home to many people who love calling Portsmouth home. Did you know that we also have some special creatures living right here along with us? We do!
We were fortunate enough to catch sight of these beautiful deer in a clearing just around the corner from my house. This area is one of Portsmouth’s best-kept secrets, not on purpose though. It’s just that a lot of people, including plenty who call Portsmouth New Hampshire home, don’t realize the hidden gems right here in our own special town.

Portsmouth NH Homes | Lilacs Scent the Air

My Portsmouth NH home is surrounded by the sweet fragrance of lilacs and it is heavenly to smell the air here! I’m lucky to have several varieties of lilacs growing in my yard, along with some other flowering bushes that have wonderful fragrances. For about a month, the air around my house is beautifully scented – I love it!
Did you know that lilacs are the state flower for New Hampshire? We have the Lilac Festival here in Portsmouth NH every year, and it’s held about a mile from my house at one of the beautiful historic homes in Portsmouth.

Making your home in Portsmouth NH means we get to enjoy special relaxing spots like this tucked away bench in Prescott Park, our gorgeous riverfront park on land that was left to the city many years ago by the Prescott sisters. Our beautiful park has magnificent gardens that are lovingly tended every year and are just chock full of all kinds of flowers and plants.
Portsmouth NH has won many awards for the wonderful quality of life we have here, and this park and its special little spots are just one of the many reasons we love calling Portsmouth home!
Downtown Portsmouth New Hampshire is located right along the river that divides New Hampshire and Maine, the Piscataqua River, and all along our riverfront you can enjoy wonderful sights and scenery any day of the week, no matter the time of year.
