I caught this picture of the top of some beautiful historic homes of Portsmouth NH on a gorgeous fall day, with the sun shining and a great clear blue sky!  The view here shows the rooftops of, the fall colors in the trees and the top of one of our bridges that connect Portsmouth NH and Kittery Maine.

The homes in this picture are of some wonderful Portsmouth NH antique homes in our outdoor museum, Strawbery Banke, and I’m looking north toward Maine.  It was a gorgeous day for sure!

This stunning Portsmouth historic antique home by the sea was once home to New Hampshire’s first Governor, Benning Wentworth, back in the mid-1700’s.  Called the Wentworth-Coolidge Home, it sits on the banks of Little Harbor, and is one of the ‘most outstanding homes remaining of the colonial era’.

This Portsmouth NH home is a beauty, and is open to the public for tours during the summer and early fall months.  The grounds are gorgeous, overlooking Little Harbor, and full of old-fashioned lilacs.
