Making my home in Portsmouth NH, I get enjoy lots of tucked-away places that visitors and even many Portsmouth home owners never know about. This off-the-beaten path road is a very quiet drive, narrow in places and is so peaceful. Those who know about it just love the peacefulness and natural state of it, so very special and I’m happy knowing that so many cherish it just the way it is…..

All around town here in Portsmouth NH we have beautiful spots to spend some relaxing time, and this picnic area on the Piscataqua River is no exception. This is Four Tree Island and the covered picnic area in the picture is one of several beautiful spots to enjoy some relaxing time on the river.

Portsmouth NH – Home in Portsmouth is FUN

If you live in or around Portsmouth NH, you know how much there is to do here all year long. Of course, the summer months offer all types of great outdoor fun all over the area.

Portsmouth is home to a number of fairs and festivals that people from all over come to. Just this past weekend, we got to enjoy the Bow Street Fair, held annually on Bow Street, right along the riverfront. Lots of great artists and food vendors set up shop for 2 days selling some beautiful art, jewelry, food, and so much more. And yes, I went home with a couple of things I just had to have AND I did a little early Christmas shopping, too!

I LOVE living here and making my home here in Portsmouth NH! And I know you will, too, if you aren’t already living here!

Portsmouth NH Riverfront Walking Trails

Calling Portsmouth NH home offers so many great things to local residents and visitors alike. We have a beautiful riverfront park, and an island right in the downtown area next to Prescott Park. Peirce Island is a beautiful park area, with Four Tree Island picnic park area, the City of Portsmouth Pool, public boat launch, and a set of great walking trails that allow for the walking of pets as well.

The trails in this picture follow the river for a bit, and then wind around the island. This is just another great benefit to those who call Portsmouth home!
